Should I say something or not?
Hello I am a mother of two girls, my oldest is 5 years. In kindergarten, she is a bit like Tom a "child" likes boy toys (The super heroes) and have more friends kind of friends. (one of his friends is a boy who went to pre-k w /) I've never seen anything wrong w / it.Until now the cause of her teacher told her she can not play w / kids or she will receive a "sad face" (in his letter @ school) If I have a talk w / the teacher? Or should I say to my daughter in her hand to play w / girls? What should I do? Thanks for helping
Why can not play with children? You need to have a talk with this teacher and, possibly, their supervisor. There is nothing wrong with his daughter playing with the children instead of girls in her class, and should not receive a "sad face" (punishment) to do so. His daughter is comfortable playing with the kids who feel you have things in common. Boy, girl, black, white, tall, short, skinny or fat. If the teacher does not agree you need to find a new job! Your daughter looks like a healthy, happy child who is full of confidence! Do not discourage them or tell the children play with is wrongful behavior. You know better, and so should his master. Stand firm in this case.
